Driving to Columbus: Along US 33

Along US 33 from North/Indiana

By John Kazalia, About.com

US 33 is one of your guide's favorite routes to travel--mostly freeway, yet lower traffic and scenic stops make it more interesting than many of the routes in and out of Columbus. Here are some things to stop and see along the way.

Fort Wayne is a nice smaller city to spend some time in. Visit Fort Wayne is a great resource on what to see and do in Fort Wayne.

St. Marys is one of your guide's favorite areas, with a lake and that small farm town feel.

Wapakoneta is known for the Air and Space Museum.

Indian Lake features small towns and state parks around a nice man-made lake.

Bellefontaine is one of your guide's favorite small towns.

Marysville is next, but you'll be passing the infamous Ohio Honda car plants.

Dublin is the first Columbus suburb you will pass through.

Stay on US 33 through Dublin and you will turn right for a scenic drive along the Scioto River to downtown Columbus.
