Martini's Italian Bistro's official Web site sums it up best: it "serves generous portions of authentic Italian cuisine in an expansive setting decorated in rich hues, velvet and dark wood and accented with diffused and unique lighting." We found the atmosphere and decor kind of upscale Roman: pillars with marble and wood and a very warm ambiance.
Martini's menu did include traditional Italian dishes like spaghetti, lasagna, and chicken/pasta dishes but also featured some more gourmet items like those listed here. There were a number of salads on the menu--traditional and not so traditional-- and the dessert we had was to die for.
In addition to the main dining room there was a bar with tables, an outdoor area, and a party room capable of accommodating a large group, up to 30 people.
The prices were not cheap, but the high quality service and food and great atmosphere make Martini's Italian Bistro a great destination for high-quality Italian food.
