Ohio Farmer's Markets - Just Outside of Columbus

The Columbus city-based farmer's markets get all of the attention, but there are great places for fresh food in the surrounding areas as well.

A few tips for enjoying a trip to the farmer's market:
-Be prepared to stay a while. It's easy to get wrapped up in the fun of picking, tasting and chatting.
-Be prepared to haul. It's not unheard of to go to the farmer's markets here in Columbus for a few vine ripe tomatoes and leave with a boatload of goodies. Bring an extra bag and maybe an extra pair of hands.
-Don't be shy. This is your chance to talk with the growers of the food you are putting in your body. Ask about their farming methods, ask about their business, ask about a strange new item of produce you'd like to try. It's part of the fun.
-Don't be afraid to experiment.
