West:

Cincinnati:

Cincinnati Museum Center
"Where there's always more to explore" including a history museum, children's museum, science and natural history, and more.

Cincinnati Reds Baseball
Your guide enjoys baseball; here's a great stadium where you can enjoy the game at its finest.

Cincinnati Visitors Bureau
Attractions, visitors information, and more to check out if you're planning a visit to the Cincinnati area.

Cincinnati Zoo
This is the second oldest zoo in the United States and is ranked fifth best in the nation.

One of my favorite ways to enjoy Cincinnati is from the Kentucky side of the river. The map below shows Riverside Drive, the heart of the Covington historical district with a great view of Cincinnati's skyline and hills.

National Underground Railroad Freedom Center is an interesting and thoughtful reminder of injustices of the past and present.

Northern Kentucky calls itself the "southern side of Cincinnati" and features BB Riverboats with river cruises leaving Covington Landing.

Dayton:

Dayton Visitors Bureau
Dayton is a smaller city with some great parks, different restaurants, and nice suburbs and is just 90 minutes away on I-70.

U.S. Air Force Museum
Open every day, it features a great selection of Air Force history, and best of all, it's FREE!

Indian Lake is a 5,800 acre lake about 90 minutes west of Columbus on US 33. And while you're there stop by and see Bellefontaine, the highest point in Ohio.

Historic Lebanon is a historic small town home to more than 50 antique and specialty shops that USA Today called "one of ten great places to browse for antiques".

Wapakoneta's Neil Armstrong Space Museum is named in honor of the first man to set foot on the moon and features Ohio's contributions to the space program.

The Piatt Castles in West Liberty are two 19th century homes preserved in their rural settings and are worth the drive:

Piatt Castle decorated for Christmas.

Near Dayton is Waynesville, home of the sauerkraut festival and "antiques capital of the Midwest". Another historic town filled with antique shops and a great home-cooking restaurant on Main St.

Your guide will continue to explore and add more trips, so check back for future additions and updates.
