Here's a photograph your guide took from his car of the Longaberger Headquarters, located on State Route 16 on the east side of Newark. No, it's not a joke--this is a real building! As you can see from the photograph, you CAN'T miss it. Visit this Longaberger photo page for more photos.

The Longaberger Web site says this "seven-story replica of a Longaberger Market Basket has been featured in publications around the globe, and it has literally stopped traffic along Route 16". Longaberger's customer satisfaction, information services, marketing, community affairs, legal, purchasing, and accounting departments make the basket building their home.

The lobby area is open to the public from 8 am to 5 pm Monday through Saturday and noon to 5 pm on Sunday.

Head about 15 miles east on Route 16 from the Longaberger Headquarters to Dresden and you can take a self-guided tour of Longaberger's one-milion square foot manufacturing campus, where you will see the Longaberger Gallery, featuring company history and displays of past and current products; and the Just For Fun Shop offering a variety of logo items, from sweatshirts to mugs and more.

Contact Longaberger Guest Relations at (740) 322-5588 for tour details and times or to book a tour.

And while in Newark, you can stay at The Place Off the Square, a 117-room hotel operated by The Longaberger Company and featuring an atmosphere accented with Longaberger products. The hotel is located near Route 16 in downtown Newark, only minutes west of the basket headquarters and a half-hour drive from Dresden and Columbus. Call the hotel at (740) 322-6455 for pricing and reservations.

If you're planning to stay in the area, here are hotels and motels located in nearby Newark, Zanesville, and Coshocton:
