Comedy Central's The Daily Show will be taping shows live at OSU's Drake Center, to be taped during the day and shown at night from Oct. 30 to Nov. 2.

The 250-seat theater will be host to The Daily Show a week before the Nov. 7 midterm national election. Host Jon Stewart has taken his satirical show on the road four times before as part of its "Indecision" election coverage.

The status of Ohio as a swing state helped secure the visit with the title "Battlefield Ohio: The Daily Show’s Midwest Midterm Midtacular." Within the regular format Daily Show correspondents will provide political commentary from throughout the state — "to give a unique perspective that only a true outsider can provide," according to Comedy Central.
