By September 30, 2013

Follow me on:

It's easy to believe that Halloween is simply a month-end event with a few ghouls and candy bars. In reality Columbus as a city goes all out for Halloween, celebrating all month long. There are events for foodies, artists, families, zombie-lovers and even dogs! Each year my list of Halloween events grow larger and I wonder how in the heck I'm going to get out to all of the events. Check out just a sampling:

Halloween Horror Movie Hook-Up Part 1, Halloween Horror Movie Hook-Up Part 2, Halloween Horror Movie Hook-Up Part 3 are just a few of the film festivals kicking off around town to keep the ghosts and goblins alive all month long. Part one features horror movies from the camp to the sublime, part two focuses on the master of suspense - Alfred Hitchcock and part three keeps it family-friendly with kid flicks, activities and prizes.

Highball ColumbusHighball Masquerade on High - one of the biggest Halloween events in Columbus Highball literally shuts down High Street for two days in the Short North. Costume contests abound for everyone from kids, to dogs, creative adults and the pros. If you have never witnessed a high-fashion, high-ghoul models hitting a runway in the middle of High Street you have to hit Highball this month. And don't forget, before you hit Highball, you better find a costume: Costumes in Columbus.
