As a driving adult, I can't say I'm wishing for snow, but as a Christmas lover I can't help but keep an eye out for it. Meanwhile, there are some very cool events happening this week in Columbus. One of the events I'm looking forward to is the BalletMet's Nutcracker. It just doesn't feel like Christmas unless I've little ballet students run around dressed as mice to the familiar notes of Tchaikovsky. While the Met will have shows through December 23rd, I like to go around this time before tickets sell-out.
Another cool event is the Columbus Commons Holiday Fair December 16 - 18, downtown. Santa tent, rides, trolley rides - what could be more fun? Make plans to get down to the Commons for this event or just to see the delightful holiday light display as a part of the Grand Illumination.
Don't miss these other events this week:
Holidays at Franklin Park Conservatory - Grinch inspired events on Wednesday, December 14.
