To say October in Columbus is exciting is an understatement. There is so much fun stuff to do for families that carving out enough time in the family calendar will be a challenge. The majority of the activities take place now through the end of the month with a focus on Halloween and fall. The great thing about these Columbus activities are they offer something for every type of family.
If you're a family into the spooky side of Halloween then you'll love the Sleepy Hollow tale produced by the Columbus Children's Theatre. If you like to put a bit of learnin' into your boo, check out the All Hallow's Eve event at the Ohio Historical Village and learn how Halloween was done in the 1800's.
One of my favorite events for the family is the Boo at the Zoo. The kids can get dressed up and fulfill their trick or treat fantasies while enjoying the sights and sounds of the zoo. It adds a little something extra when you get to watch the bears tear into their Halloween treats as well. The zoo always plans wonderful activities outside the candy hunt that parents appreciate. Be prepared to spend the day and to walk dozens of miles!
