This weekend is the kind of weekend where you put on your elastic pants because there are fantastic food events heating up all over the city.
The Columbus Food Truck and Cart Fest takes over Columbus Commons with local favorites Families Mobile Kitchen, Leslie's Crepes, 3 Babes and a Baker, Munch Box, Earth's Crust, Yellow Boy Polish Boys, Short North Bagel Deli, Cheesy Truck, Veggilicious, Spinelli's Deli and more. The event includes live music, giveaways and a portion of the proceeds go to the Mid Ohio Foodbank.
If you are a wine fan then head over to the Short North Kroger and The Franklin Park Conservatory, both locations are featuring wine events with interactive activities including wine education and cooking demonstrations. While those who favor bacon over "reds" will surely want to head to the North Market for Bacon Camp. Bacon recipes, bacon contests and even bacon crafts are on tap for this pork-filled event.
