Wisconsin Spoils It for Ohio State - Again

Follow me on:

Basketball playerThe Buckeye nation is beginning to give Wisconsin the side-eye almost as much as we give eye rolls to that team up north. Wisconsin managed to snap our team's winning streak in a heart-breaking loss on Saturday. Coming back from a 15 point deficit, the Badgers overtook the Buckeyes ending in a 71-67 win.

If you've been keeping score Buckeye Nation, this is the same team that snapped OSU's winning streak in football this past season costing us the number 1 spot and a shot at the National Championship in a 31-18 stunner. What is it with those cheese people?

Not to give Wisconsin all the credit, freshman star Jared Sullinger's father told the folks on Channel 10's Wall to Wall Sports that Sullinger admitted the team may have relaxed when they had the lead. Relaxing is not something I will do until we finally beat Wisconsin. Until then I'm boycotting cheese. Well, cheese from Wisconsin at least.

Most fans are happy that the loss, if it had to come, came before the hoops frenzy that is March Madness. The Buckeye's have a shot at Michigan State February 15, at 9 p.m. and hopefully the Buckeyes can put the loss behind them so they can focus on the only stat that matters: #1 at the end of the season.

What do you think? Will OSU rebound from Saturday's loss? Is this a mere bump on the road to the Final Four?
