
Since 1776, more than 50 million Americas have served in this country's armed forces. November 11, Veteran's Day, marks the date that ended Word War I and honors the priceless contribution of these men and women. This year, in central Ohio, there are many events scheduled to honor these men and women and their families. Among them are:
- November 11 - wreath-laying ceremony in Section 104 of Green Lawn Cemetery in Columbus;11am; Free
- November 11 - Gahanna - ceremony and brick dedication at Veterans Memorial Park, end of Old Johnstown Road and Big Walnut Creek; 11am; Free
- November 11 - Dublin - ceremony by Wesley G. Davids American Legion Post 800 and VFW Post 10691 at Grounds of Remembrance in Veterans Park, 77 N. High St.; 11am; free
- November 11 - Lancaster - parade on Broad Street from Fairfield County Fairgrounds to Veterans Park at Main Street;11am
