Labor Day Events in Columbus Ohio

Follow me on:

Can it really be Labor Day weekend? The good news is that there are plenty of weekend activities in and around Columbus. For starters, the Ohio State Buckeyes begin their quest for a national championship on Thursday, September 2 in Columbus against West Virginia's Marshall University. Game time is 730pm. In addition, check out these events:
  • Short North Gallery Hop - September 4, 4pm - 10pm; North High Street from Goodale Blvd to Fifth Avenue; admission is free. Browse a variety of art in the neighborhood's many galleries. Also live music, food, and unexpected surprises.
  • 28th Annual Labor Day Powwow - September 4-6; Franklin County Fairgrounds, 4100 Columbia Street, Hilliard; Saturday 11am - midnight, Sunday 11am - 11pm, and Monday 11am- 6pm; Adults $7, Seniors and Students $3, children 5 and under are free. Features Native American dancing, music, arts, crafts, and food.
  • Greek Festival (pictured above) - September 3-6; Greek Orthodox Cathedral, 555 N. High St.; Friday and Saturday 11am - midnight, Sunday noon - midnight, Monday 11am - 7pm; Adults $5, Seniors $4, children under 12 are free; Enjoy traditional Greek dancing, food, and music.

Honestly, I’m confused. The dates given for the Labor day festivities are off. I would love to participate in some of the fun activities in Columbus this weekend with my children.
Are you able to clarify this for me?

Hi Angela! I’m so sorry I missed your comment. This blog post is from last year. The latest Labor Day events were listed on our sidebar and if you hit the homepage it was the first blog post you saw.

I’m the new guide for Columbus and I’m still trying to find all of the previous guide’s info to redirect to updated info. I hope you and the kids got a chance to do something fun.
