Central Ohio may not seem like the film capital of the world, but there have been scores of movies that have used our hometown. Among these movies are "Silence of the Lambs" (1991), which was filmed partially in Bellaire and Belvadere Ohio; "Brubaker" (1980), filmed in Columbus, New Lexington, and Lancaster; "Air Force One" (1997), scenes filmed in Columbus; "Traffic" (2000), scenes also filmed in Columbus; and "Shawshank Redemption" (1994), filmed in Ashland, Butler, at the Mansfield Reformatory, and at Malabar Farm State Park.
