Evidently, Scandinavian Lutheran humor is a big deal in some circles. I'm not really sure what it is. I keep picturing a cross between Garrison Keeler and Sesame Street's Swedish Chef. I guess I'll find out this week at Church Basement Ladies.William Christopher (“Father Mulcahy” from M*A*S*H) stars in this musical look at the women who really keep the churches going. It's a short run -- only Wed.-Sun., Aug. 5-9 -- in the beautiful Southern Theatre downtown. (Hint: There aren't any bad seats in the Southern, but you may find more leg room on the first floor.)
